Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 20, 2026

Journal Spaces is developed and published by BayouBytes. Our goal is simple: your journal belongs to you.

Journal Spaces is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require an account, do not display third-party advertisements, and do not sell personal information.

Information We Collect

Journal entries, voice recordings, imported images, preferences, and app settings are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

Permissions

Microphone: Used only when you choose to record a voice journal entry.

Photos and Storage: Used only when you choose to import images, save files, export entries, or use related features.

Biometrics or Device Lock: If enabled, authentication is handled locally by your device to help protect access to the app.

Data Sharing

BayouBytes does not sell, rent, or share your personal journal content with third parties.

Advertising and Tracking

Journal Spaces does not display third-party advertisements and does not use tracking technologies to monitor your journal content.

Data Deletion

Because Journal Spaces stores data locally, you can delete your journal data from within the app if available, or by uninstalling the app. Any information you exported or backed up outside the app remains under your control.

Children's Privacy

Journal Spaces is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

No software can guarantee absolute security. Users are encouraged to maintain their own backups of important entries.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates become effective when posted on this page.

Terms of Use

By using Journal Spaces, you agree to use the app responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws.

Journal Spaces is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. BayouBytes does not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device.

You are responsible for maintaining backups of important journal entries. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BayouBytes is not liable for lost data, lost profits, indirect damages, incidental damages, or consequential damages related to use of the app.

End User License Agreement

Journal Spaces is licensed, not sold. BayouBytes grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to install and use the app.

You may not copy, redistribute, resell, reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works from Journal Spaces except where permitted by law.

All app artwork, branding, interface designs, source code, graphics, and related materials remain the property of BayouBytes or their respective owners.
